A bit more info, from Judi: Tellington TTouch (pronounced Tee-Touch) is a training and wellness method for dogs and other animals. TTouch uses a combination of touches and lifts, awareness aids like bodywraps, and movement exercises to help animals develop greater physical, mental, and emotional balance, focus and awareness. The work helps to release tension and fear, helping animals learn more easily. Animals and their handlers often develop a deeper bond as a result of using TTouch. TTouch is useful for injury recovery, confidence-building in shy or nervous animals, and helping a performance dog reach a relaxed but ready state before competition. Aging animals can be made more comfortable with TTouch. More information is available at www.ttouch.com.

What is FMD? BSCA Future Messenger Dog Test Try something new with your dog that is fun and exciting and involves very fast speeds (Isn’t that definition in the Belgian breed standard?). Join us for Future Messenger Dog Tests on Friday afternoon, May 23rd, at the Specialty Hotel.
Components involved in Messenger Dog Test, include basic obedience (heel, sit, down, stay), a long recall between two handlers and the ability to search and indicate lost objects. Can your dog find his toy? This is a match and fun for both you and your dog. You need to get involved in this! Match runs will compete for certificates and prizes! Check the final schedule for times. For further information, contact Sonja Ostrom at 303.455.0023 or sonja.ostrom@aimco.com.

Info for the ATDA temperament test: BSCA American Therapy Dog Association Test American Therapy Dog Association, Inc. (“ATDA”) is a non-profit corporation and organization offering membership and registration for therapy dogs world-wide. ATDA testing will take place on Friday, May 23, 2008 at the Specialty Hotel in the afternoon in conjunction with the AKC Canine Good Citizen Test. This is accomplished by being evaluated by an AKC certified Canine Good Citizen evaluator and includes passing the AKC CGC test (10 test program) 2.Certification that an animal has the proper temperament and is suitable for therapy dog programs/visits. This is accomplished by evaluation of an AKC/ATDA certified tester and includes testing the dog’s reaction to noises, distractions and working with various medical assistance equipment, such as crutches, canes, wheelchairs and walkers.
